After the day I went to the grocery store really quick to get the ingredients for chili and then got home to realize that I was missing chili beans. It wouldn’t have been a big deal but I didn’t realize it until I was finished, or so I thought I was fished making the chili.
Who forgets chili beans when they go shopping for chili? I was so mad. Callen was already down for his nap and it was three o’clock. I couldn’t leave. So as soon as Callen woke up, off to the store we went again, for the second time that day, to get chili beans.
After that, I decided that I wanted to get organized this month and make a meal plan, so that I will not be rushing back to the grocery store once again.
I left Wednesday’s blank because we normally eat dinner at church on Wednesday nights. I also left the weekends blank because we normally eat leftovers or have plans on the weekends. I like to make chili on the weekends so we can have leftovers for after church when we need something quick to eat.
Let me know what your favorite was and if you would like for me to do this monthly. Although, I use a lot of these recipes every month. These are some of my favorite recipes and they normally come up a lot during each month (in the cooler months, I have a strict rule that it has to be cold enough outside to have chili or other soups).
Would love to hear your thoughts and even your recipe recommendations. I love trying new recipes as well. Maybe I will start thinking for November and get a head start for next month.

I’ve made this with and without the sauce. Good both ways.

I made only half this recipe since I was making it for 2 1/2 people, and had to use one can of crescent rolls and I stuffed them full. Next time I’ll only do one tablespoon of the chicken mixture instead of stuffing each roll so full and may cut back the chicken mixture even more than just half.

(I’ve used plain bread crumbs instead of panko, either one will work. I also used ritz cracker since that’s what I had and I didn’t use the cajun seasoning, but next time I will.)
